iTunes could not connect to the iPhone – unknown error 0xE800001

Question: I'm trying to connect my new iPhone to iTunes to be able to load my music but after updating and reloading iTunes, rebooting system, rebooting iPhone, and trying different USB ports, I still get the same error message: "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "iPhone" because an unknown error occrued (0xE800001)." Anyone know how to correct?

Response 1: Try to create a new user account in windows, log in and see if you can connect your phone to determine if this is a itunes software issue Message was edited by: Ingo2711
